Much of my attention these days and the coming eight weeks is turned towards the Men's U-19 World Championships in Helsingborg, Sweden as I will be the goaltending coach for Team Canada. The more I think about it and the closer to the event we get the more excited I get! The goalie I will be working with for the championships is Jeremy Peters out of Hamilton, Ontario who plays for Sir Winston Churchill Floorball Team. Apart from planning for the championships and working with my local teams I am doing my best to help Jeremy from over here which is at the other end of the world... kind of.
Read my interview with Jeremy here:

A funny picture where the coach of girl's -04 team walks in to a shot of me having a look at my basic stance.
We are also going to have a goalie camp here in Norrbotten this summer before I'm off to the southern part of Sweden to participate as a goalkeeping instructor at three other floorball/goalie camps for about six weeks. Our own camp is going to have 20 participating goalkeepers, 4 instructors and 6 shooters for the duration of two days and it is just going to be fantastic!
Something tells me that this year is going to be an absolute blast and go by in the blink of an eye and that I am going to look back at 2015 as the year that my company actually took off. I can't wait for all these things to happen and at the same time I do not want this year to be over. I guess all I can hope for is that the next year will be as productive!
To be able to share mine and my goalkeepers' experiences with the rest of you I have even started posting floorball videos on Youtube. You can have a look at "Malvaktsfokus Lulea" on youtube! These videos are just for fun and in no way intended to display perfection in goalkeeping! If you have videos from a practice or a game, don't hesitate to upload them and share with the rest of us, a goalkeeper always appreciates seeing other goalies!
Having a company means sending a ton of emails to potential partners which in turn means that I am checking my inbox about a thousand times per day and hoping for some interesting replies. One of the emails I am expecting is a reply from a very big floorball company and sometime in these next few weeks I am hoping to be able to reveal my first official floorball sponsor!
In Sweden we have one of the best if not the best floorball league in the world, however from the perspective of the goalkeeper there are a few things missing for those of us who don't play in the highest league, the Swedish Super League (SSL). Myself and many others have practices or games on the same days that the super league plays their games which means we can't watch the actual games and instead have to look forward to the highlight videos. However the replays very rarely include saves by the goalie and instead only shows the goals, and if you go online to look for statistics for the goalkeepers you will notice that... there aren't any statistics for the goalies.
I would love to hear from you goalies out there about this!
How is this done where you live and play, are there decent replays and/or statistics for goalies from the highest league?
And -
If you could choose an equipment sponsor, which brand would it be?
Save!
