Star Camp 2015 (international week)

This week was a new high for Star Camp 2015, goalie-wise! We had 92 participants, 15 of which were goaltenders. The very first night of camp we all gathered up and practiced movements and it is so  inspirational for me to look out at a group of individuals and see all these amazing goalkeepers of all ages, from different backgrounds, from different nations, with varying experience and seeing that we all have one thing in common - the love of goaltending.
Here are some pictures from the last week of Star Camp 2015!

(except for the shitty mobile phone pictures)

Diversity!

Having such a diverse group to work with has been awesome. I learned how to say "good save" in Norwegian, Flemish, German and Russian and I even got to do a practice with an interpreter for two Russian goalkeepers. So many new fantastic memories. When I first started coaching goalies a while back, I had no idea that this was possible!

Practicing movements on the first day of camp

Looks like aerobics from the 50's, but actually we're practicing the "slide"

You teach me, I teach you.

They often say that the teachers learn a lot from their students as well as the other way around and after my four weeks here in Göteborg I can definitely confirm that statement. I have learned so much from all you goalies every week and I am incredibly grateful that you put your trust in me and did your best to improve, which I think you all did.

Getting pumped. Game is about to start!

Another picure of us getting pumped. Fabulous paintjob by Gustav in the front

Hazard, Guran and Kapten Zoom looking... something between angry and happy/crazy?

No clue what Jon Hedlund is saying, but he looks happy!

T-shirt swap! This guy, Vitalik is a huge influence on the goalies in Russia and is one of the few goalie coaches in Russia. I now have a t-shirt as proof that I ran a 42km marathon in Siberia! Thank you!

A big, big thanks to all of you who made my first year at Star Camp so memorable! I can't wait for next year!

See you 2016!
